Bristol East Allotment Association (BEAA) is a non profit limited corporation established in 1914. The day to day running of BEAA is carried out by a committee of elected and appointed volunteers. The elected part of the committee is made up of 14 voting Site Representatives from our 7 allotment sites plus a Chair and a Vice Chair. As well as the Site Reps and Chairs, the BEAA committee appoints a number of volunteers to help them run things. The appointed committee members can advise, but have no vote at the committee meetings because they are not elected by the BEAA shareholders.
There is an Annual General Meeting of the association every April. At this meeting, the voting members of the committee are elected. Long term policies for the committee are discussed and voted on at the Annual General Meeting.
